Statistics: Russians’ consumer confidence rises 3 pp in Jul–Sep
MOSCOW, Oct 5 (PRIME) -- The consumer confidence index rose by 3 percentage points on the quarter to minus 11% in July–September thanks to positive dynamics in citizens’ estimates of recent and future economic changes mainly due to improvement in personal wealth and in conditions for big purchases, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Thursday.
The share of people that think that recent changes in the economy are positive increased to 16% in July–September from 15% in April–June, while the share of negative estimates contracted to 35% from 39%.
The amount of people that expect economic improvement in the next 12 months rose to 23% from 21%, while the share of people that eye negative dynamics in the Russian economy remained flat at 23%.
